Pastor Kelvin R. Hawkins…
steadfast, unmoveable,

Pastor Kelvin R. Hawkins is a native of Albemarle County. He is the son
of Alfred M. Hawkins, Sr. and the late Earline Chapman Hawkins. Pastor
Hawkins and his wife First Lady Penny are the proud parents of three
children, one son; the late Kelvin Ricardo Hawkins II, and two
daughters; Aisha Pene and Tia Pene Hawkins.
Pastor Hawkins has been an active member of the St. John Baptist Church
since the age of nine. He was licensed to preach the gospel in June of
1998. Pastor Hawkins has served in many ministries in the church.
Currently, he is the Youth Director for the Piedmont District Baptist
Association.
Pastor Hawkins served FAITHFULLY as the Assistant Pastor of St. John
after his ordination. He was installed as Pastor of the St. John
Baptist Church on January 12, 2009 Pastor Hawkins believes, “The glory
of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together for…”

Pastor Kelvin R. Hawkins received his Bachelor of
Science degree from Virginia Union University, Richmond, VA in May of
1986. He has also obtained a Certificate in General Insurance from the
American Institute of Insurance. Pastor Hawkins has a heart after God
yet much compassion for the people. His walk echoes the scripture in
Romans 10:16,“…How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the
gospel…”.
